Welcome to Lynnfield Girls Softball

The Lynnfield Girls Softball League's dual mission is to provide a fun, instructional and safe outlet for girls to learn and enjoy the awesome sport of softball, and to provide a healthy feeder program that will help create and maintain a consistently strong high school softball program.

Registration is Open

2018 LGS Registration Opens

Registration is open for the spring season of Lynnfield Girls Softball.

As we did last year, we are offering a series of winter clinics on Wednesdays from 4pm-5pm at the Route One Sportsplex Indoor Facility in Danvers in conjunction with the spring registration. The clinics are scheduled to begin on January 31 and run through March 7. The cost is $50 per player, but is reduced to $25 for those who sign up for the spring season at the same time.

These clinics will be instructed by a combination of volunteer coaches, Sportsplex staff and current and former high school players. Participating girls (Grades 2-8) need only bring a glove and wear sneakers or rubber cleats. In addition to the clinics, the spring fee includes uniforms (jerseys, pants, socks), umpires, equipment (bats, balls, helmets) insurance, league fees, approximately 14 games (plus potential playoffs), practices, season-ending banquet, winner's trophies and the town-required $30 per-player fields maintenance fee.

If you can't or don't want to attend the clinics, you can register just for the spring season on the website for the cost of $150. In the event that you can't or don't want to play in the spring, but would like to attend the clinics, you can sign up on the site for $50 or come to a session and pay in person.

Please pass the word to anyone who may not be aware of the league. All girls in grades 2 through 8 living or attending school in Lynnfield are eligible.

Spring outdoor practices begin in April with games starting at the end of April and continuing into June. Teams typically play two games per week, one home and one in a neighboring town. All games begin at 6 pm. The league is divided into three divisions: 2nd-4th, 4th-6th, and 7th-8th (4th graders can choose to play with the older or younger group depending on experience and skill level).

Getting Ready for the '18 Season

Winter, Spring & Summer Softball, 2018

Winter hasn't even arrived yet, but we're looking forward to next season for Lynnfield Youth Softball.

First up will be the indoor winter season at the Route One Sportplex. Second session begins in mid-January and we can accommodate as many teams as we have interest for. If you'd like to play for a Lynnfield team in age groups U18, U16 or U14, please contact jguerra@jagg-group.com. We're also planning another slate of clinics.

Second, the spring season is just around the corner and with all the work that has been done at the Middle School field, we're looking forward to having the best facilities in the Cape Ann League. Assessments will likely be in early March, with practices beginning in early April and games in late April.

We're hoping to have a better turnout -- and better results -- with our summer program this year. We will get started earlier on this in 2018.

Keep an eye on this site and on our Facebook page for registration information and further details on clinics and other events.
